A Storm Is Coming — Are You Ready?
We’ve all seen this meme floating around the internet. How many of us liked it or even reshared it without a second thought?
Fate whispers: “You cannot survive the storm.”
I respond: “I am the storm.”
The first time I saw it, I smiled. I get it. It’s macho. It’s tough. It’s bold.
But here’s the thing: I disagree.
The storm is the storm. You are not the storm.
I understand the intended meaning — it’s about inner strength and resilience — but words matter.
The storm symbolizes chaos, danger, fear, and uncertainty. It’s external. It’s something we must endure, not become.
I recently stumbled upon another meme that expresses this more elegantly than I can:
Moral:
The storm is inevitable. We will all face multiple storms in our lives — moments of chaos and adversity. The key is not to imagine yourself as the storm, but to learn how to weather it.
Surviving the storm builds resilience.
Surviving the storm gives you experience.
Surviving the storm forges growth and evolution.
The challenge lies in enduring the storm with as much grace and dignity as possible. It’s tough, but if you can hold onto the lessons during the storm, you will come out stronger, smarter, and more resilient on the other side.
But here’s the thing: some storms just don’t let up (think Groundhog Day). It’s like you’re stuck in the same loop, no matter how tough you are or how many times you tell yourself to push through. That’s when you need more than grit — you need new tools, fresh perspectives, and a solid tribe to have your back.
If you’ve been stuck in the same storm for too long and want something to change, I’m inviting you to my next BTS90 course.
This isn’t just a program — it’s 90 days of direct coaching and mentorship with me. You’ll have access to decades of my experience, research, and pioneering work in fear management and self-defense.
I’ve spent most of my adult life creating and refining these tools, helping people from every walk of life, including elite military, law enforcement, and professional athletes. And now, I’m offering you the opportunity to work directly with me — to learn, grow, and break through your personal storm.
The full program is 90 days, but if commitment is what’s holding you back, we’ve created a 30-day trial option. No pressure, just a chance to see if you’re ready to invest in yourself. But don’t wait too long — opportunities like this don’t come around often, and the only thing worse than being stuck in a storm is knowing you missed the chance to overcome it.
Storms are inevitable, and storms are coming. The real question is: will you face them unprepared or ready to overcome? The next session begins this Monday, September 30th.
